Durante el mes de noviembre Las Jevas del Jabón estuvieron trabajando un reto creativo con libertad de diseño.
Cada participante escogió su película, serie o personaje favorito y plasmó su esencia en jabón saponificado con detalles en glicerina, soap dough o pipping.

Participantes:
1. El primer lugar es para Lolas Soap Shop, quien presentó esta fabulosa pieza inspirada en la película Avatar. Elegí este diseño como ganador ya que incorpora varias técnicas como swirls y piezas moldeadas a mano, que nos transportaron al colorido y brillante mundo de Pandora.

Here it is! I present to you “EYWA”.
Eywa is the guiding force and deity of Pandora and the Na'vi. The Na'vi believe that Eywa acts to keep the ecosystem of Pandora in perfect equilibrium.
A woodsprite (Na'vi name: atokirina') is a seed of the Tree of Souls that lives on Pandora. These seeds, according to the Na'vi, are very pure and sacred spirits. Furthermore, these seeds are believed to be auspicious wheresoever they choose to rest.
I barely planned this soap. I made it as an entry for a soap challenge and the deadline was today 😬
I watched Avatar on Thursday, and thought "what the heIl?" l made all of these embeds on Friday and came up with the concept almost as I went along. And here it is. I'm happy with it ❤
*Everything that looks "white" glows in the dark and the leaves are marbeled with glow in the dark soap dough.
*The water is glow in the dark melt and pour.
*All colors are from mad micas.
* The fragrance is a blend of blueberry thyme and a forest scent.
2. El segundo lugar es para JThea Handmade, quien nos presentó una pieza inspirada en la película de Disney, Mulan. Le otorgo el segundo lugar por mejor fotografía, colores e interpretación del tema. En el tope tiene delicadas flores en pipping (frosteado) que representan el árbol icónico de cerezo o “cherry blossom”

Aquí mi entry del mes... inspirado en mi película favorita de Disney, MULAN 🌸
Quise dejarme llevar de dos cosas: primero en el tope que muestra la delicadeza de el árbol de cherry blossom y de como la sociedad quería que ella fuese... una dama, sumisa, tierna y callada. Segundo que es por dentro me inspiré con una variedad de colores (que aparecen en la película como en su vestuario y paisajes) que representan su valentía, espíritu guerrero, fuerza y amor a su familia. 💖

3. En tercer lugar tenemos a Steven Universe creado por Mana Soaps. Elegí este diseño ya que incorpora la mayor cantidad de elementos de el personaje/tema elegido.

The star in the middle is from his shirt, the pink/coral and blue swirl represent his clothes and the black piping his hair. The glitter on top represent “universe”, against the black from the piping they look like tiny stars.
I wanted a fragrance that smelled like donuts since that’s Steven’s favorite thing to eat but I couldn’t find any donut fragrances. I did, however, find a fragrance called “Fruity Rings” and it smells EXACTLY like fruit loops. 💜
Ingredients:
⭐️ Oils: olive + coconut + palm + rice bran + castor
⭐️ Additives: charcoal
⭐️ Colorants: yellow mica + yellow oxide for the star, pink + orange + yellow & blue micas for swirl, charcoal for piping and glitter on top
⭐️ Scent: “Fruity Rings” fragrance
The star in the middle I made by pouring yellow soap in a box, I then used a cookie cutter to cut out a bunch of stars and then pieced them together.
The pink/coral + blue were an “in-the-pot” swirl, I waited for the soap to get thick enough that the colors wouldn’t get mixed together.
And the piping... the piping was the hardest part of this. 😂 It was a bit of a disaster but, lucky for me, it turned out OK.
I also want to share that Steven Universe is one of my favorite tv shows and one I would recommend anyone watch. ⭐️
I love the characters & the way they’re developed, I love the valuable life lessons, the color scheme in the show, the soundtrack (and I mean EVERY SINGLE SONG), the silliness, the LOVE, the fact that Estelle is Garnet’s voice actor... EVERYTHING.
4. Cuarto lugar es para Enchanted Soaps and More por el jabón más festivo, inspirado en nuestro personaje favorito de la navidad...”Mr. Grinch”

Esta es mi foto del reto de Noviembre de las Jevas del Jabon de PR, es un jabon procesado en frio, con los siguientes aceites saponificados, oliva, coco, palma, castor, almendra, y tiene una fragancia que trae a tu olfato alcanfor, eucalipto, pino, clavo, cedro, patcholi en una base de cherry my inspiration is my boyfriend cuz he is like the grinch he will love to take the tree down and pack right back at the storage but when its comes to christmas he have a big 💚
